Pre-K Counts is a comprehensive pre-kindergarten program for eligible children age five. It provides children with a developmentally appropriate early childhood education.
The job of Pre-K Counts Instructor was established to provide support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree & PDE Early Childhood Certification
- Experience with pre-school population desired
- Knowledge in Early Literacy
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
- Able to work at centers within Delaware County
- Able to work within a team concept
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to frequently lift twenty pounds
- Basic computer skills
