The job of Registered Nurse Educator was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as an educator with specific responsibility for supervising adult students within the classroom and other assigned clinical areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students’ regarding instructional program and student progress.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Administers curriculum based nursing instruction program and assessments, etc. for the purpose of evaluating student competency levels.
- Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, and administration.
- Collaborates with administrators, instructional staff, other clinical personnel, and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of program and student outcomes.
- Collect analyze and interpret data for the purpose of improving program, clinical facilities and accrediting agencies.
- Communicate with students regarding progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals.
- Manages students in a variety of educational environments (e.g. classroom, clinicals, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe, positive, and effective learning environment.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
Certification Required: Current Pennsylvania RN License required
Experience Required: Job related experience required.
